Th best part of the stay was the location. It was literally a few buildings away from the action of Steep Hill, the Castle and Cathedral. The cottage was clean quiet, comfortable and the garden was stunning - quintessential English Garden. We had a wonderful time and Lincoln was out favourite City in England. We highly recommend it.

As perfect as the first time we stayed. Clean and welcoming and equipped with everything we needed for a home away from home.The cottage is close to shops, amenities and historic Lincoln, but still peaceful. The back garden is gorgeous and comes with a view of the Cathedral. (Bed are the most comfortable I have ever been in!)

Pictures just as we found the cottage and great instructions to locate and parking permit for stay was really helpful. Locate just of “Steep Hill” perfect location for some great restaurants as well as the cathedral and castle. Great communication form Stuart and nothing too much trouble. Stunning cosy cottage, superb location especially quiet, a hidden gem. This cottage has everything you need- like home from home. Love the garden especially the herbs and view of Cathedral. Stuart is an amazing host. Danes Cottage is a truly lovely place to stay. The location for all the sights to see in Lincoln is perfect, right next to the 'Steep Hill'.
The cottage is cosy and warm; spotless and has everything (and more) you need for a relaxing stay. The garden has a lovely view of the Cathedral and will be a lovely spot to sit out in warmer weather. We shall be back to stay again without hesitation.

Just returned home after spending 'New Years' at Stuart's beautiful Cottage. We were a party of 4 adults and felt very comfortable with everything you need. The Cottage is immaculate and cleaned to a high standard and comfortable beds with crisp white linen. We had a fantastic stay so if you are looking for a place tp stay in Lincoln look no further, Stuart's cottage is 5 star

Had a wonderful weekend in Lincoln made even better by the beautiful cosy cottage. Stuart met us on arrival and made sure we were comfortable. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed as well as some lovely personal touches of various teas, coffee biscuits and chocolates. The cottage is in an amazing location close to Steep Hill and all the amenities and has the addition of a beautiful back garden. Absolutely recommend this place - you won't be disappointed.

This was a lovely cottage right in the heart of Lincoln so everything was in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed the historic aspects and the quaint shops on Steep Hill. The cottage was vert beautifully presented and a delightful place to return to at the end of the day. Communication with the host was really good. He was friendly and welcoming, We would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful cottage! Exactly how it looks and described, Stuart was extremely helpful, meeting us at check in and giving us a quick brief of the cottage and the nearby parking. The cottage was spotless as was everything else. All equipment clean and everything you need for a lovely stay. Comfy beds, nice and quiet even though you are only a short walk up to the restaurants and bars around the Castle and Cathedral. Will definitely be back to Lincoln and absolutely stay here again.

Stuart's cottage is absolutely superb and fitted out to a luxurious standard. The settings is ideal for a Lincoln centre break, so close to the Cathedral and all the independent gift shops and only a short walk to the City Centre. Stuart was really friendly and helpful giving advice on parking where to eat and more. Highly recommend! We hope to return - a little gem!

The Cottage is so central, parking round the corners very easy, It's immaculate and modern inside and yet retains the feel of the very old building with its stairs and fireplace. Stuart has thought of everything and is very helpful. We loved being on the doorstep of the castle and cathedral and a few minutes from everything the centre has to offer and yet is so quiet at night - perfect combination. Recommend!

Stuarts cottage was everything and more the photos promised. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished to the highest standard, perfectly situated for exploring Lincoln. Stuart relies quickly to any questions we had and was everything you would expect from a super host-nothing was too much trouble. All in all one of the best properties we have stayed in. The cottage was perfect! A superb renovation of an old cottage right on the Steep, steps away from wonderful independent shops and close to the cathedral. (which can be seen from the seating in the garden) The cottage was beautifully presented and perfectly clean. We had breakfast on the patio overlooking a vert well maintained garden. So peaceful and private. We could not fault this idyllic home.

This is the first time we have booked by OTA and Stuarts cottage has set the bar very high. A cosy cottage set in the perfect location. The cottage was spotless and you had everything you could need for your stay, plus some lovely extra touches.We loved sitting out in the garden with the views and sounds of the Cathedral. The Cottage was so charming! It was in a perfect location next to steep hill and all the main attractions in the historic city centre. We had access to tea and coffee shops as well as good restaurants. The cottage was spotless, all amenities and perfectly fit our group of 3 travellers. I am hopeful to stay again soon!

We had an excellent stay at Stuart's cottage. The location was excellent for exploring Lincoln, just a few minutes from the shops, restaurants and cathedral. The cottage itself was perfect for 4 people for the weekend and was well equipped, clean and comfortable. This cottage is beautiful, exactly as it looks in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean, and is set up with everything you could ever need. Stuart is a great host, check in was easy, and parking is in a little car park around the corner from the cottage, which Stuart provided the parking pass for. Stuart’s place is cozy, well appointed and is filled with nice touches. The listing is accurate. Location is excellent - cobblestoned alleys, pubs, cathedral and other historic places. There’s a car park nearby for which Stuart had arranged day passes, and this was very convenient. All in all, a great stay!

Perfect in every way. Great uphill location so close to the major attractions and restaurants. Stuart kept in touch from booking to leaving. This is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the historical district, minutes to all the main tourist sites, pubs and great places to eat. Stuart is an amazing host, very attentive, professional, flexible and friendly. As an airbnb host myself I have an eye for what makes a good host experience and can see that Stuart has thought of everything. The house is very comfortable with contemporary decor, that complements the traditional features well and has all the mod cons and very comfortable bedding with a lovely long garden with two outside dining areas too. Perfect central location to explore the city with car parking included for the duration of your stay. The property host is very professional and friendly. Stuart's place is a cosy little cottage in a brilliant location for cathedral, castle and shops/restaurants in the lovely old part of Lincoln. We were two couples - old friends - and it suited us very well for a two day stay. We particularly liked the seating area at the bottom of the garden with a great view of the cathedral towers. This is the best appointed abnb property we have stayed in. Stuart had thought of everything great linen, fluffy towels, rugs to snuggle under and lots of artistic touches throughout the cottage. There is also a pretty garden. The property is well located to explore the historic hub of Lincoln with plenty of places to eat and shop in walking distance. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Stuart's cottage, every last detail had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It has been renovated to a very high standard and the decor is modern whilst still feeling cosy and homely. Great beds, bedding and shower, and everything you could ask for in the kitchen. We loved the welcome snacks and provision of tea, coffee and milk on arrival, also the extra toiletries in the bathroom drawer. Very informative guest book in the cottage was really useful with lots of recommendations for eating out and sightseeing. Check in was made very easy with Stuart meeting us on arrival, we really appreciated his help in parking up and making the most of our first day in Lincoln. Stuart responded to any messages straight away before and during our stay, couldn't ask for a better host. We wished we had booked a longer stay and hope to be back soon.

We have stayed in nearly 40 Airbnbs and Danes Cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. It is an extremely well renovated cottage, thoughtfully decorated with excellent attention to detail. Its listing doesn't do it justice. The cottage is very well situated in the old part of Lincoln and all the tourist areas are just a short walk away (either up or down Steep Hill). The listing is accurate, Stuart's communication is good and always prompt. We highly recommend the cottage and look forward to visiting again.

Definitely stay here, it’s the perfect location and so homey. Stuart is a great host, has everything you need in the cottage and so tastefully done. Comfy bed and all the apps to watch whatever you want on tele.

It is a delightful cottage close to the Cathedral, Christmas market & Castle. An ideal location to visit all of the above on foot. We were able to park our cars nearby for the duration of our stay. We wanted for nothing during our visit as the cottage is well equipped with quality products throughout. It has been tastefully decorated, with a little bit of festive lighting added too for the season. The beds are comfortable & there is a large walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Stuart was great with communication & was there to welcome our party on arrival.

Had a fantastic couple of days away here at the cottage, beautifully furnished with a cosy feel. Our host Stuart gave us a lovely warm welcome and provided lots of information for us to have an enjoyable stay. Perfect location for sightseeing Lincoln, would definitely recommend!

We just returned from a two night stay at Stuart's beautiful cottage , which is in the perfect location to explore and enjoy all Lincoln has to offer.
Stuart was there to meet us when we arrived, gave us the parking permits and showed us how everything worked.
The cottage is tastefully furnished with everything and more that we needed during our stay. It's in an ideal location for everything, also very peaceful and quiet. We had glorious, sunny weather the whole time we were there even though it was November. I would imagine it would be even more enjoyable in the Spring / Summer as the cottage has a beautiful south facing garden, from which you can see the Cathedral.
Lincoln is a beautiful, historic city to visit. Stuart's cottage is the perfect place to stay and we can highly recommend it.

Stuarts place is right in the middle of Lincoln, along a cobbled street just down the hill from the cathedral and castle. It's been thoughtfully and stylishly converted to a 2 bedroom cottage with kitchen / dining area, a comfortable cosy living room and a modern bathroom. It was warm, super clean and psacious, with very comfortable beds and a living room that overlooks the garden, ideal for relaxing after a days sightseeing. Highly recommended

Stuart was on hand whenever we needed him. It was the most beautiful cottage in the perfect setting. We had the best time!! So comfortable, so clean and well... just perfect if i'm honest! Couldn't recommend enough!!

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location. Newly refurbished and to a high modern standard. Communication with owners couldn’t be better.

Stuart has just opened this fantastic grade 2 listed cottage, in the perfect location for exploring historic lincoln, and we were his first guests. The cottage is stunning, very tastefully presented, immaculately clean, loads of little creative touches to make our stay special. The cottage is ideal for four people, very comfortable, very stylish, and in the heart of the city, yards from steep hill,and ideal for exploring, shopping and easy access to the many bars and restaurants. A cute little garden to sit outside, if the weather's good, as it was for us. A handy car park just round the corner with a day pass provided. It doesn't get any better than this. Without doubt the best airbnb accommodation I've ever had the pleasure of living in. And this will quickly become very popular. Stuart is a lovely guy, very attentive and proactive host, who couldn't do enough to make our stay really enjoyable. Can't reccomend highly enough.
